Hello friends đ We turned 11 ! For 11 years, weâve approached each day like curious kids â touching everything, trying as many things as possible.
Here are 11 highlights from our journey:
Â
â The garlands we spent hours cutting BY HAND with scissors when everyone wanted to buy them! Sloths, pigeons, ponies, and lorises â a huge hit!
Â

â The adoption of all our machines, each with their own name: Frisou, Charlène, Chuck, Steve-O, Gordon, Fritz, Hedwidge. We hold a naming ceremony for every new adoption đ
â The expos, markets, and conferences that took us to Toronto, New York, Denver, Boston, Detroit, Tokyo, St. Louis, and Grasse. We miss Japanâs ramen. đ
â The idea to open a store while eating ice cream on a bench in front of an empty space. The result:Â a beautiful 1,000 sq. ft. shop on St-Laurent. Then the idea to open a second one on Mont-Royal. Boom. And finally, moving everything into a 3,000 sq. ft. dream studio on Christmas Day, December 25 (because, well, COVID anyway).
Â

Â
â The magical mutual help during COVID. A difficult time, but also one filled with incredible generosity. We shared our printers and equipment with our neighbors, Atelier B, because everything was moving at lightning speed.
â The best idea we ever had:Â making candles. And Jennifer, who poured hundreds of candles in her tiny apartment đ Donât worry, now we make them in the studio :)
â The network of passionate entrepreneurs like us that we built. We miss you, Bièrecredi friends!
â All the creative, brilliant, and sensitive employees who have been part of Baltic. We had bookbinding contests, human chains of wax boxes, fits of laughter, and dance playlists. We havenât always been perfect bosses, and weâre so grateful for the journey we shared together.
â The huge, huge orders from retail chains that made us stack boxes up to the ceiling. The pride of seeing our products at Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom, Barnes & Noble, and Indigo. What an adventure!
Â

Â
â The first 5 shops that approached us back in 2014 are STILL with us â¤ď¸ Thank you!
â A few weeks ago, we gave a talk in front of other entrepreneurs and, at the end, someone told us: âYou should do a comedy show.â lol. We promise â weâll keep our days for creating and try out the jokes at night. đ
Â
Thank you for being here â for offering our products, for writing in them, lighting them, wrapping them, and offering them again.
Without you, 11 years would just be a number.
With you, itâs a collection of beautifully scented memories.
Weâre keeping it going đ
